Number wise, it only makes sense. Seems like they wouldn't have to keep appealing and keep appealing every single year? Why don't they just set them at D1 and be done with it? Do they expect higher attendance or something in these 2 schools

The majority of D1 schools in Region D are requesting the Rye Cove rule be overturned for next year, the reason that Lee has 250+ more students than the next largest D2 school and no other Region in single A has a school that big.

Don't see what the first part has to do with anything (but why should that stop 'em from bringing it up, right?). Who cares what the gap is.

The 2nd part is completely false. Lee is no longer the largest school in A and they didn't need a waiver to play down this time.

The team is Castlewood, not Clintwood unless I read it wrong

Castlewood had already qualified for D1 this year due to enrollment numbers. Clintwood won the appeal with Haysi. Castlewood and Thomas Walker have matching enrollment numbers. Maybe this will help since it has been updated.

I dont think its right that you can be D2 is basketball, baseball, volleyball, and softball; and be D1 in football. I hate this system

They should be D1 in the other sports also.

Of course Haysi and Clintwood also have half the enrolment of VHS and GC so......
